Groups to Run With

These are opportunities to run with a local group and not organized by runLawrence.

Dog Days, Red Dog’s - Info: Bev Gardner
Summer schedule (June 5 - Aug 10): M-Th, 6 am & 6 pm, Lawrence HS track.
Sat. group runs: 7:30 am, Lied Center parking lot.

J&S Coffee: 8 at 7, Sun 7 am. John Frydman, 841-8202 (map). 8 mile run with other distance options.

Lied Center Tempo Runs: Wed, 5:30 am, about 6 miles, Scott McVey, 785-218-6824, (map).

Mad Dogs - M-F, 12 noon, east side of Robinson Gymnasium on the KU campus; typical run includes 3 to 15 runners going from three to seven miles, Mike Ettredge

Mass Street Milers - every Thur at 6 pm from Ad Astra Running, 734 Mass, - for runners of all abilities.  Questions or weather check, call (785) 830-8353.

Molly's Run - 1344 Strong Ave. 5:00 am - Mon & Thur. Molly Wood

Running for the HILL of It: every Mon at 6 pm from Ad Astra Running, 734 Mass.,
Ellen Young, predominantly a women's group but all are welcome.

Scott's Sat. Mornings - Sat, at 6:30 am, 9th & Vermont parking lot, Scott McVey, 785-218-6824

Scott & John's Workouts, Tu/Thu, 5:30 pm (summers may change to 6 pm, call), meet at 11th & Illinois, John Frydman, 841-8202 (map), Tues - speed work: approx 3 miles and Thurs - tempo runs 3-5 miles.

Trail Hawks - Wed, 6:30 pm, meet at the Corps of Engineers parking lot, Clinton Lake north shore trail head, 5-12 miles, bring head lamps & water, Gary Henry, map | other runs

Tuesday Evening Runs - 6:30 pm, Garry Gribble's Running Sports, 839 Mass., Kara Protasio, 785-856-0434.
