Club Meeting Minutes

4:30 pm, Lawrence Public Library

Present:  Brenda Groskinsky, Becky McClure, Gene Wee, Dee Boeck, Janet Huchingson, Karen Hyde

President Brenda called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Public Library.  
   
The September meeting minutes were reviewed.  Dee moved to approve as submitted, Becky seconded and it passed unanimously.

Treasurer Gene detailed expenses and income during the past month including several deposits which included race entry fees, equipment rental, race sponsorships, and membership dues.  Expenses included a large amount which paid for the order of Buffs for the T-Day 5K.  A sample was passed around and everyone liked them.  Gene indicated a current club balance of $3,768.00.

The rest of the meeting was devoted to T-Day run plans.  Fortunately, most of the key players from previous T-Day 5Ks are on board again this year.

They include Elizabeth and Greg Burger who will provide volunteer EMS service as well as taking care of getting and setting up the recycling bins.

Becky and John will once again organize and staff the aid station on the course.

Janet and Karen will assist with the food prep in the kitchen, as well as other assistance.

Molly and Celeste will manage and staff the day of race registration table.

John will handle volunteer check in and check out.

Gene is filling in the volunteer list, so please contact him if you are willing to volunteer.

There will be a work session in the near future to attach cords to the awards.  Dee will organize this. 

Dee is attending the Woodlawn PTO meetings to see that they are on board to handle the kids fun run as well as distribute neighborhood flyers along the race course in the week prior to the event.  Gene announced that post cards informing all North Lawrence residents of the event will be sent.

Meeting was adjourned at 5:30.
