Aliphine Tuliamuk, winner of the women's marathon trtials: “When I came here over 10 years ago (from Kenya) I didn’t even think that I wanted to stay here.” Tuliamuk earned a public health degree from Wichita State in 2013 and was a nine-time All-American for the Shockers.

Last Sunday, we had local runners talk about their preparations for the Olympic Marathon Trials. Check out the comments by other runners in this Trail Runner post.

The Olympic Marathon Trials And Big Dreams - It’s Christmas morning for running fans, and it comes with some good lessons.

"I love the Olympic Marathon Trials, but not because it’s the race that chooses Team USA. For me, it’s about the stories. It’s about who finishes 200th right alongside who wins.

"The athlete in 200th was faced with so many decision points to get there. You can imagine some of the questions." more

Ad Astra Running is hosting a panel of local athletes who've qualified for the Olympic Marathon Trials on Sun, Feb 23 at 4:30 pm before they head to Atlanta to race on February 29th.

To qualify, men needed to run a marathon in under 2:19 and the women under 2:45. Many of these runners competed at local high schools and universities and this is a chance to ask them what it takes to make it to the Olympic Trials.
